A year or so ago, I upgraded a G3/333 Mhz lombard CPU to the G4/433 with 1 meg L2 and the improved heat sink. I have had no troubles at all, and the machine runs OS X quite ell considering its age.
I am well satisfied with it and recommend it as the preferred lombard CPU upgrade.
