After upgrading the computer with the G4 processor, and installing OS X.3.9 I can no longer run a second monitor from a ATI Xclaim 3-D graphics card. It works but only in a torn-up looking black and white. When I switch startup to OX 9.2.2 it works fine, but then javascript browsing functionality in Explorer becomes problematic. Browsing works fine in OS X. There is no ATI Xclaim 3-D driver support for OS X...I checked at ati.com. Can anyone suggest a newer inexpensive PCI graphics card that I can replace it with? It will be running a 17" color monitor (ViewSonic EA771B) that will be used simply for browsing the internet.

You can check ATI's pages for updated drivers, but the older 3-D cards have limted support in the newer OS's.
The AGP 128 Pro AGP is a good replacement. We offer a range of choices at:

| The ATI Rage 128 16 Mb PCI graphics card looks good to me. And the price is right. Thanks!

I screwed up. I bought the wrong card on EBay ($10 + $10 shipping). It was the Rage 128 Pro, wouldn't fit into one of the three PCI slots. It only fit into the Monitor Card Slot (AGP?). I already have a Rage 128 card in there (not Pro), which works in OS X. The ATI XClaim 3-D is in one of the PCI slots, and it doesn't work in OS X. That's the one I need to replace, with a OS X-compatible PCI graphics card. Any suggestions?
