I finally decided to give MSC a try after growing tired of Powerlogix/OWC refusing to fix their software to work in 10.4.x with Xpostfacto.

I'm getting the feeling from some of the other forum posts that MSC does not work with the Powerlogix G3 1Ghz PCI upgrade. My problem is similar to others:

My config is a Powermac 9600 with Powerlogix G3 1Ghz and 1 GB of RAM and running 10.4.2 (I'll move up to 10.4.7 as soon as I get everything working). This config worked perfectly and at full speed with 10.3.9.

If I try to set the processor speed to 1Ghz or 900mhz using MSC, I get a crash. If I set it to 800mhz, then ASP and the first tab of MSC both report 1ghz. If it set it to 700mhz, then ASP thinks its running at 900mhz. It also reports no backside cache is installed, and as a result the system runs extremely slow. The first tab of MSC, however, reports 1MB backside cache.

I have uninstalled all other 3rd party processor/cache enablers. I have trashed MSC prefs and re-serielized several times. Still no dice. Any ideas?
