(Using the modified Leopard installer), I'm getting ready to install Leopard on my Pismo Powerbook that has been upgraded with the G4 550 Daystar upgrade. I've read some reports that the DVD player may not work on some of the older systems that are running Leopard. Is that the case with the Pismo G4 550? (Actually, I've installed the MCE expansion bay DVD drive that allows for burning DVD's, if that makes a difference.)

In reply to my own question, the DVD player does NOT work after installing Leopard. (I did a clean install on an external drive . . . then booted my Pismo from there.) I also found that I wasn't able to select different screen savers . . . alas, I think my Pismo G4 550 will hang with Tiger until retirement.
