Hey there! I've bought two other upgrades for computers of mine and a friend, namely the G4 upgrades for a Lombard and a Pismo. They are fabulous! I now own a 15" G4 Titanium that runs verrry nicely. It's already maxed out RAM-wise (1GB) and HD-wise (a 7200 RPM 100 GB Hitachi) and is a pretty good machine for digital video road-warrioring. But I could use the extra horsepower for on-the-fly work. Is it worth it to step up to the TiBook upgrade to bring this thing up to 1.3 GHZ?

Does it run hotter? Is the heatsink augmented or is there some sort of special work done to alleviate the probable extra heat from the faster processor?

Understanding that the cache is also upgraded, is it ALL upgraded,or is any portion disabled (i.e. the Level2 or level 3 caches?)? Does it gobble a lot more battery power?

And most importantly, how stable is the upgrade? Anyone who has said upgrade or is directly familiar with it, give a yell back.

Thanks much in advance,
misterellington
