hello, my initial reaction to the 1.0 to 1.75 upgrade is "wow", but i have a few questions:
1. regarding the apps in the xlr8 folder, do i need any of them? i'm guessing the msc installers are for os 9, and there's another fodler that has os 9 stuff. i never boot into os 9.
2. does the xler8 app do anything for me? i opened it, and the dot moves around the lines, there's some info about the processor, but nothing that appears like i can alter. proc, cache and memory don't have any options...
3. i appreciate the work you guys did, but i really don't want the sticker on my lid. what's the best way to get that off there w/o hurting the finish?
4. the felt keyboard cover you put on there for shipping, do you recommend these for general use? i kept my original foamy one from apple, but it applied _just_ enough upward pressure to cause the latch to not stay closed.
many thanks, after using if for a while, i'll post a review, if you want.

Everything in the folder is also in the CD. MSC 3.4x is all you need to reinstall...ever.

When open in the foreground the App is a diagnostic testing application, running actively. The animation is an accurate protrayal of the test in process. The information presented is a dynamic test result (unlike Apple System Profiler which pulls from a database). The App itself should not be open normally. It will slow your system... it pushes the CPU to 100%).
When the app is installed, an extension is loaded which launches in the background and patches a variety of things, including Apple System Profiler CPU reporting.

Ouch (as my ego bursts ). Sure just peel it up. It is removable. No finish problems.

Yes, use the felt. We cut it to not put any added pressure on the cover.

gary, i didn't receive a cd, which is no big deal. if the folder and the cd are identical in contents, i'll just burn my own backup.
so, if i need to reformat or re-install the os, after doing either one of these things, i'll need to run the msc 3.4 installer?
thanks.

Sure, and sorry.
I'll have the CD mailed as well.
